Essential oils are often used in aromatherapy, a form of alternative medicine that employs plant extracts to support health and well-being. These essential oils are obtained through distillation using steam, water or mechanical methods, such as cold pressing.

Essirium blends its essential oils from two leading essential oil manufacturers - VineVida and Plant Therapy. These oils have been chosen as part of Essirum's blend because both manufacturers carry certification of their oils authenticity and purity. So rest assured that Essirium chooses ingredient brands that have been thoroughly researched so that you are receiving all natural products for your skin.
Patch Tests
The best way to rule out an allergy to any of the ingredients is to perform a patch test. Apply a small amount of Essirium to a small patch of skin on the inside of the arm. If no irritation occurs over a 24-hour period, Essirium can be safely used on other parts of the skin.
Anyone with a pre-existing health or skin condition should speak with their doctor before trying any new skin product.
Don’t use Essirium if you have a nut allergy (from the Sweet Almond Oil). Almond oil contains nut allergens and may cause an allergic reaction if used topically. Also, some people have allergies to peppermint oil. Essirium products contain peppermint oil.
